Schedule for October/November 2009 Dia de los Muertos Day of the Dead Celebration at Tree School!!! this FRIDAY, October 30th from 4:00-6:00 pm On November 1st of every year, Guatemala celebrates the Dead through delicious food, colorful altars, kites, and costumes. On November 30th, Tree School will be taking the "spook" out of skeletons and exploring this very special day in Guatemalan culture! Traditional craft projects will include kite building, along with weaving and designing flower carpets. Add Dia de los Muertos snacks by our resident chef and head teacher, Ed Dame, and this will be the best party going in Portland! 131 Spring Street, Portland, Maine 04101 FREE FAMILY EVENT please help us spread the word!!! Important notes to consider when reading the following class schedule: -class size is limited. You need to contact Tree School directly to reserve your space. Tree School is celebrating our second year in our new home! We have finally settled at 131 Spring Street in Portland's West End. In July 2008, Tree School adopted the building that many remember as Ballard House. We are so excited to be in such a beautiful space with an incredible energy. Please stop in and visit! A final note... Please understand that we will always offer at least some of our classes at no charge. Tree School is meant to provide as many children as possible with the opportunity to experience and understand new people and places. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to make the most of the opportunities Tree School has to offer!
